My Why

I am Ryan Whitney… creator, artist and certainly one who loves to find peace within. I have definitely had my times of trials, tribulations and been stressed beyond measure. The difference between then and now is I know how to manage. I know the signs, and I know what I need to ensure I stay grounded and centered.

In 2007, I started practicing yoga and began meditating (just a little.) During this time in my life, I was more focused, more motivated, more productive and more calm. In 2010, I was going through many life changes, and to be completely honest I was having a tough time adjusting to it all. Fast forward 3 years… I needed this sense of calm more than ever before. Life hit me like a ton of bricks. Going through a divorce, trying to delicately answer to my 3 year old the changes we were going through, trying to balance work and home life, and crying everyday for 8 months was exhausting and tough. I definitely got away from myself. I was searching for this sense of calm and joy I once had in my life again. I needed it more than any other time in my life. I read books, took meditation more seriously, I said my affirmations daily, and the results were life changing. I created a routine that I am 100% committed to, and my family knows it is a non-negotiable. Not only did this practice impact my life decisions, but they also helped me in my work-life, relationships and the way I see myself through my own lens. It truly changed who I am.

I created Breathe In Soul to share affirmations and meditation techniques for adults (and kids, too) so that they are encouraged to start a meditation practice of their own. Through Breathe in Soul, I want to share with you the knowledge I have gained over the years, and some of my favorite affirmations, meditations and ways to incorporate wellness to help us all navigate through this thing called life.
